Our cruel mind

Our brains, our minds are the most fascinating organ/part of our bodies. It not just orchestrates the huge amount of other organs, the nerves, the fluids and so much more. It also defines who we are. What is our personality like. It is also like a book full of stamps. While some stamps will be visible almost through the whole book, others will disappear as we turn the pages. How those stamps come into this book, has many ways.
You probably have many-many nice and colorful stamps and also some rather not so nice ones. The thing is: a lot of people out there have some very big, black, aggressive stamps on the very first pages. The tint from the stamp is a deep black, the paper can't absorb it all and runs along the whole page, defiling the edge of all the other pages.
You can turn the pages and try to get some new, colorful stamps on top of the reprint of this big and ugly stamp. You'll get always reminded, this ugly one exists.

Your mind is a ...

My therapist once said: the earlier an experience, the most formative. That's so true and I have to think about it so often. Our mind is one of the most cruel construct of our bodies. You can be trapped within and find alone no way out. It's your own mind. Mechanism as a result of thousands of years evolution. And you just sit there and ask yourself what's the next step? How can I overcome the whole situation. Some of us can't get out and commit suicide. Driven from their own mind. Of course it's not only their own achievement. It's the result of those early stamps, the first steps into the cage of their minds. Their behaviour will be changed as a result of all those things together. They experience mobbing, exclusion, violence. And the cage in those minds gets to look more inviting. One more step to the cage, but how many do you need until you can't get out?

So fascinating and so cruel

Cruelty fascinates more than any other characteristics. I don't have any researches for this statement, but look into Netflix/Amazon/Apple TV/name your streaming service. I bet you will find more documentaries, movies and series about murders, war, violence, criminals than people doing nice things, achieving wonderful things with their BRAINS. Your heart rate jumps instantly if you see violence. Not so much if you hear about wholesome, something nice. I don't say your heart rate doesn't even change because of nice things. But not the same way as in case of violence, cruelty. Evolution brought us to this alarming state of the body in case of danger or agression. We are hunting for this kick in our freetime while watching series about serial killers, listening to true crime podcasts or watching the news. Looking at a car crash so bad, that you can't look somewhere else. If cruelty fascinates us so much, maybe it's no wonder, that our mind also tends to be cruel to us. In some extreme situations.
